This comprehensive skill set is dedicated to the sustainable operation and retrofitting of buildings, emphasising environmentally responsible and resource-efficient strategies across the entire life cycle of a structure.

Assessment Information

Assessment 1

Resource Consumption Audit Report that assesses the resource consumption and waste generation of insulation installation at the EcoRevive residential project.

Assessment 2

Retrofit Action Plan for the Rodriguez Retrofit Project (residential) to improve the energy efficiency of a building. This includes researching appropriate products, materials, and systems and engaging with the client and stakeholders when retrofitting a building.

Assessment 3

Research and Recommendations Report for the GreenHub Project (commercial) documenting sustainable building practices and technologies, analysing the environmental impacts of the building's life cycle and identifying strategies for improvement, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors, and providing guidance and recommendations to ensure the implementation of effective environmental solutions.

Assessment 4

Knowledge Questions designed to assess knowledge of sustainable use of resources, action plans to retrofit existing buildings for energy efficiency, and contributing to sustainable solutions throughout a building's life cycle.

Timeline

Skill set 3 starts Tuesday 1st October and will run for 8 weeks.

Weeks 1, 3, 5 & 7: Face-to-face workshops and site visits on Saturdays on the city campus, + some online, self-paced learning and assessment.

Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8: 3-hour evening online class each Tuesday + some online, self-paced learning and assessment.

Classes commence on Tuesday 1st October.
