SUSTAINABLE OPERATION: SYSTEMS AND LIFECYCLE

Overview

Skill Set 3  includes the delivery of 3 units of study including: 

  • MSS015043 Develop strategies for more sustainable use of resources 

  • CPCSUS5002 Develop action plans to retrofit existing buildings for energy efficiency  

 

  • CPPCMN4012 Contribute to sustainable solutions throughout a building's life cycle

Discover the world of sustainable building operation and retrofitting in Sustainable operation: systems and lifecycle. This comprehensive skill set is dedicated to the sustainable operation and retrofitting of buildings, emphasising environmentally responsible and resource-efficient strategies across the entire life cycle of a structure. 

 

Delve into the intricacies of operating buildings sustainably, learning key principles and practices for waste reduction and retrofitting. From new builds to the end of a building's life cycle, this course empowers you with the knowledge to recommend and implement cost-effective and eco-friendly solutions. Sustainable operation: systems and lifecycle will give you a competitive edge in building design and construction sector and contribute to a greener future. 

Assessment Information

Timeline

Skill set 3 starts Tuesday 1st October and will run for 8 weeks. 

Weeks 1, 3, 5 & 7: Face-to-face workshops and site visits on Saturdays on the city campus, + some online, self-paced learning and assessment.  

Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8: 3-hour evening online class each Tuesday + some online, self-paced learning and assessment.
